A local collection of hand picked portraits & stories from the genuine and multicultural community of the Liberties, at the heart of Dublin’s most iconic neighborhood.
This photographic exhibition features 32 portraits of people living, working or breathing in The Liberties. The visitors get visually in touch with some Humans of The Liberties: a colorful, picturesque and authentic celebration of the diversity of our community.
The exhibition was located in Newmarket Square from September to December 2019. It was divided and shown in 4 months time. Each month 8 pictures of the collection were displayed in Newmarket Square.
The day of the “swap” there was a small event in the Square. All the protagonist displayed in the pics were invited in Newmarket square to talk about their experiences in the Liberties.
Some of them are musicians, actors, visionaries, business managers, horse carter, market sellers, poets, migrants. On depending of their souls and professions a talk show with music and poetry, it was offer to the audience.
